“ A lovely restaurant that feels secluded despite being in the heart of town. A mystery as to why it was so quiet as the food and service was excellent. We were the only dinners for an hour before 2 other couples joined us. The owner and chef were friendly and it was nice to try a cuisine that wasn't as run of the mill as is usual. ”
“ 1st time to restaurant. Lovely place. When we went in we were the only people there. The starter was really nice. It was a shared for 2 people. The mains were great. I had the mixed grill which was really nice. The desert was amazing. I had the baklava and it was amazing. I would go back specifically for that. Overall we had a great time. Very welcoming. ”
“ Incredible dinner, we enjoyed a date night here and couldn’t recommend the place more. The service was exceptionally attentive, there were personalised recommendations from the menu, the wine was very well priced and paired well with the food. Each dish was hand-prepared and we’ve travelled Turkiye a little, and each dish was authentically prepared and served. Faultless, please do go try this place, you will not be disappointed! ”
“ Food was on the whole very good and all clearly cooked to order. The mixed grill (pictured) was excellent as was the tiramisu home made desert. The weakest dish we had was the calimar which, whilst fresh had an egg coating rather than something crisp, I assume this is a regional variation and whilst interesting was not what I expected and didn't work IMHO. The other dishes we had were the mixed meze which had a very nice beetroot and yoghurt dip, lamb special (pictured) and another home made desert that was somewhere between a strudel and a swiss roll and contained apple (but thankfully no nuts today despite mentioning them on the menu, so we were able to have that) Portion sizes were just right. As it was the run up to Easter we nearly had the place to ourselves, there was only one member of staff in the place who did service and the cooking, despite this we were well looked after and he was able to explain which dishes contained nuts and chickpeas including which did not that day as he had prepared them all himself. Would definitely recommend. ”
“ We were at a wake in Cheltenham and came across Daphnes on our way back to the hotel. It was coming up to 10pm but the owner so kindly invited us in and we had the most amazing meal. The food was fresh and absolutely amongst the best Turkish food we’ve had (and we are big fans) Thank you so much for your hospitality and for taking in 2 stragly tired ones at such a late hour. We will most definitely be back. ”

“ Wow what an amazing find. Went to Daphne's for a work Christmas party. 12 of us. Everyone had a great time. The food was simply divine, not big portions, but enough! Lamb dishes , chicken dishes and mixed grills all expertly cooked, definitely the best Turkish food in Cheltenham. Home made baclava and tiramisu to finish with. A fantastic night out, 2 courses for about 22-25 with desserts at about 8. Give this place a try you will not be disappointed. All of us will definitely be back. ”
